Rehabilitation Services Program

Sample Work of Students

REC 140 Video (wmv) -- Katie Zinn

Video projects are being utilized in introductory level recreation courses and also for the
senior seminar class, where students explore a disability-related topic in depth.

Students learn many transferable skills in many of their courses.  Here is an example of a student's Grant Proposal for a Rehabilitation Administration course.

Students learn how to create adaptive equipment for everyday living.

  • The photo on the left shows a walker that is adapted to be used during the winter, specifically when there is snow on the ground.

  • The photo on the right is a can dispenser.  Cans are stacked on top of one another instead of putting them deep into a cabinet.

Here is a sample of a student's report on the adapted activity project in Rec 140:

Seniors are also required to create an exciting digital portfolio of their collected works.
